Prior to REDpoint, Valerie worked at Portland International Airport for 6 years for Huntleigh USA and Aviation Safeguards. While working at Portland International Airport she was responsible for transitioning about 300 employees from the company’s private screening contract to the federal government (TSA). Valerie was responsible for human resources, had oversight of payroll, negotiated client contracts, monitored contract compliance and managed state and federal regulatory compliance as well as managing the employee base through supervisors. Before working at Portland International Airport, Valerie was an outside sales associate with Qwest Dex where she retired after 30 years. During that distinguished career, she earned many awards for outstanding sales, marketing, advertising, and customer service by developing market-driven strategies through demographic and customer needs analysis. Valerie, who is a results-driven performer, maintained and grew annual revenues to about $4 million dollars, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of competition.

Valerie is very community-minded and has been a part of the fundraising efforts for Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer since 1992 as well as recently becoming involved in raising funds and being involved in community events for the MS Society. Since 1989 Valerie has helped in her community by rescuing, healing, releasing & re-homing wild and exotic birds.
